Life Groups

Life Groups are small groups which assist Gateway Church in fulfilling its purpose to preserve an atmosphere that promotes both spiritual growth and authentic relationships. It’s all about fellowship, studying God’s Word, praying for and loving each other. Being a “Family after God’s Heart” goes beyond Sunday morning. We believe meeting with other family members during the week supports the passion of Gateway; to know His heart, seek His heart and share His heart. That is who we are!

Life Groups are divided into three categories, each promoting growth within the body of Gateway Church:

Assimilation Groups are geared for those whose desire is to get connected with the Gateway family, ministry or want to get to know the Gateway staff.

Groups that offer a variety of Bible studies that will strengthen your relationship with Christ and an opportunity to interact with others are called Spiritual Growth Groups.

We have a number of groups that focus on Relationships. These groups facilitate the building of relationships within the Gateway family. Some of the various types of groups include men or women, age specific or meet according to ones interests.

Our Life Groups last approximately 10 weeks and are organized in a year-round trimester schedule. The fall trimester starts in October, winter trimester starts in February, and the summer trimester starts in June.  If you are interested in joining a Life Group, sign-ups for these groups take place the month before each trimester begins (at church or online).

If we currently are not in a “sign-up” period then the majority of groups are closed, unless listed otherwise. The next opportunity to get involved in a Life Group would be the next upcoming trimester, considering the schedule. The following groups listed on the sidebar are an example to illustrate the various topics, leaders and locations that are offered.

Beyond Life Groups, Gateway offers many other opportunities for the family to become connected.

Gateway Family Gatherings are informal large group events that take place through the year.  These gatherings give all of us the opportunity to know each other better in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Keep your eyes open for upcoming game nights, picnics, pool parties, movie nights, wiffleball tournaments and much more.

A Membership Class is also offered three times a year. Those who attend this class will gain a better understanding of the heartbeat of Gateway and will have the opportunity to learn about the denomination of The Christian & Missionary Alliance along with the chance to meet some of the staff.
